On Wednesday, 20 March 2019, the 4th Vienna GeoMeetup will take place

The Vienna geo-community will meet again at the beautifully situated ‘Donau City Treff’ at Arbeiterstrandbadstraße 128 in Vienna.

The planned lectures are

• Stephan Bösch-Plepelits: Workshop Overpass - The interface to OpenStreetMap
• Jakob Listabarth: Mapping UN Sustainability Goals
• Robert Kaiser: ‘VR Map’ - Virtual Reality with OpenStreetMap

This will be followed by informal discussions and professional exchanges.

The organisers have come up with something special for the next Vienna GeoMeetup on Thursday 15 November 2019: Professor Herbert Edelsbrunner, a leading scientist in the field of computational geometry, will be a guest.

On 9 November 2018, the OpenMinds Award will be presented at the Palais Wertheim. This award honours special open-source projects in the areas of:

• Open Source Software

• Open Hardware

• Open Data

• Open Talent

• Open CMS

The Open Source Ball 2018 will follow.

On Wednesday, 17 October 2018, OpenStreetMap enthusiasts will meet again at Wieden Bräu in Vienna! A table has been reserved at Wieden Bräu, Waaggasse 5, from 18:30 under OpenStreetMap.
