From July 6th to July 7th, 2022, the successor to AGIT, the GI_Salzburg, took place in Salzburg. We, the OSM-AT association, were there to present the OpenStreetMap project, the FOSSGIS association and OSGeo.

Travel and setup

The journey began on Tuesday, July 6, 2022. Since we have quite a bit of trade fair material and FOSSGIS e.V. had sent us banners, advertising material, and stickers with FOSSGIS and OSGeo-specific material by post, mapper geologist volunteered to drive and drove to Salzburg together with mapper ScubbX.

The videos of the OSGeo Days lectures at AGIT 2020, kindly provided by the AGIT organization, are now online on YouTube and the TIB AV-Portal!

The lectures were grouped into three blocks, with each block being an entire video.

Due to the current pandemic, AGIT 2020 cannot be held locally. The organizers will hold it virtually instead!

OSGeo/FOSSGIS/OpenStreetMap have also received a sponsored virtual exhibition stand for the virtual conference! (Thank you, AGIT !)

Since it is hardly possible to have a virtual exhibition stand attended by volunteers for 5 days via video link (who have to go to work during the weekdays), we have come up with the following idea:

It’s almost that time again: from July 8-10, 2020, [AGIT] (https://agit.at/), Austria’s largest conference and trade fair on the subject of applied geoinformation, will once again be taking place in Salzburg.

For the OpenStreetMap and OSGeo booth, people are wanted who want to take a look and chat a bit about their hobby. (can also be done on a daily basis)

We are also looking for contributions for OSGeo Day, which can be submitted via the AGIT online portal until 26 February 2020. This short video shows how it works: https://t.co/7d7u4M0q2R?amp=1
