The next three days, FOSSGIS 2021 will take place online! Today (June 6, 2021) is the so-called OSM Sunday, which is dedicated to OpenStreetMap.

Do you have questions about the popular OSM editor JOSM? Do you know a few tricks or tips for solving more or less challenging situations with the JOSM editor?
On Wednesday, March 10, 2021, from 7:00 p.m., interested, questioning, and knowledgeable OSM mappers will meet for a small online exchange session to show each other a few JOSM tricks or simply demonstrate how to map certain objects.
The target group is primarily mappers from Austria, but in principle the doors are open to anyone who can speak or understand German. :-)

For the first time, this year’s FOSSGIS 2021 (the conference for free and open software in the geoinformation sector & Openstreetmap in the DACH region) offers the opportunity to help shape the conference via anonymous online voting.
You can register to vote at the following link until **March 1, 2021: https://pretalx.com/fossgis2021/p/voting/signup/
(Original announcement from https://lists.openstreetmap.org/pipermail/talk-at/2021-February/011143.html ):
Dear FOSSGIS enthusiasts,
the Call for Participation for FOSSGIS 2021 is closed. It can
already be revealed that there are many interesting submissions.
For the first time this year, a community vote (public
vote) will take place. The result will be included by the program committee as
an opinion from the community in the evaluation.
This is very easy:
1. Click on the link to register for the public vote: https://pretalx.com/fossgis2021/p/voting/signup/
2. You will receive an e-mail with your personal link to the public
vote
3. View and rate submissions; this can be done in stages.
Community voting is possible until 01. 03. 2021.
Many thanks to everyone who participates.
Kind regards
from the FOSSGIS 2021 program committee
on behalf of Astrid Emde

Due to the current pandemic, AGIT 2020 cannot be held locally. The organizers will hold it virtually instead!
OSGeo/FOSSGIS/OpenStreetMap have also received a sponsored virtual exhibition stand for the virtual conference! (Thank you, AGIT !)
Since it is hardly possible to have a virtual exhibition stand attended by volunteers for 5 days via video link (who have to go to work during the weekdays), we have come up with the following idea:

The annual general meeting of the association OpenStreetMap Austria will take place online on Thursday, May 7th, 2020 at 6:00 pm CEST via Jitsi (https://meet.jit.si/OSMatVersammlung).
Guests are welcome, although they are not entitled to vote!
The regular term of office for all association bodies ends this year and so elections are due for all these positions. All those who are full members of the association as of today (22/04/2020) are entitled to vote.
