The announcement of the November OpenStreetMap meet-up on 26 November 2018, in the original wording of the post on the mailing list:

Dear OpenStreetMap enthusiasts in Styria, The meet-up will take place at 6:00 pm in Brot & Spiele in Graz –

Table reservation on ‘OpenStreetMap’, we are sitting in the fireplace room (non-smoking area).

This will be the last Graz Stammtisch this year, the December Stammtisch will be cancelled due to the Christmas party season.

The Call for Papers for the FOSSGIS 2019 Conference, which is taking place in Dresden from 13.03.2019 to 16.03.2019, has been extended to 13.11.2018.

So anyone who needs a few more days to write their paper now has them.

The organisers have come up with something special for the next Vienna GeoMeetup on Thursday 15 November 2019: Professor Herbert Edelsbrunner, a leading scientist in the field of computational geometry, will be a guest.

December is approaching and the Christmas map needs correct data! The Xmas map shows Christmas markets, Christmas trees, Christmas tree sales points and other Christmas events with local references.

The data itself all comes from the OpenStreetMap database and can be entered there with the tags described on the XMAS-Map wiki page.

An OSM-related geospatial event has been set up in Salzburg: Maptime Salzburg will be holding its first meeting on 13 November 2018! The following is the original text from the mailing list announcement:

Hello everyone, Last month we founded the ‘Maptime Salzburg’ meetup. This monthly meeting is intended to offer anyone interested in geospatial topics the opportunity to exchange ideas on topics such as geoinformatics, remote sensing, geodata or programming. The next meeting will take place on Tuesday, 13 November 2018 at 7 p.m. at Trumerei in Salzburg. As an additional activity, we want to map together for an hour at 6 p.m. The idea is to use the StreetComplete app to introduce beginners to OSM.
